It is kind of becoming a tradition. My sisters came last year but were not able to come this year. We sure missed them! I LOVE Lake Powell! I grew up going to Lake Powell every year with my Mom's family and I need it! I feel like my summer isn't complete if I don't go there. It was a fun trip even with the rattlesnakes in our camp! I so look forward to this every year. We camp at Lower Bown's Resevoir right by the lake. They had just opened the new part of the lake. There is a beach for the kids and biking and walking trails. It is really nice! A generic vacation is when you get in your car and just drive and see where it takes you! Ours took us to Ogden. On the way we stopped at Hill Air Force Base. Parker was in awe! He loved the helicopters. I haven't been there for like 20 years so it was pretty cool! We then went to the Tree House Museum. It was an awesome place for the kids! They had all these different areas like the White House, doctors office , medieval castle, trains, music instrument room and little houses representing different countries. It was pretty cool! We then went to ifly and watched the indoor sky divers ( can't wait to do it). On our way home we took the back roads and kind of got lost. Brynlee was really worried but we finally found our way home. It was a fun day! It was kind of cold but worth it. We went 4-wheeling, swimming in the hot springs pool and golfing! Well Lewis went golfing! I'm not much of a golfer although I would like to be! We colored eggs and had a little easter egg hunt! I'm so glad we went. It's nice to get away and relax! Parker actually knew what was going on and Brynlee was so excited she couldn't sleep. She woke up every couple hours and kept trying to sneak down stairs so Lewis ended up going and sleeping in her bed to stop her from trying to peek. They both got new bikes from Santa. Brynlee loved hers because it is pink and it's a skater chic's bike. Parker loves cars so as soon as he saw his he said "bike, pa chow". Lewis and I both got iPhones. This is all Lewis wanted so when he came down and saw that Santa didn't bring him his iPhone he was pouting. He didn't even really look at his gifts from Santa. So when I gave him the iPhone to open, he started screaming as soon as he saw what it was. It was hilarious! We always go to his sister Peggi's clubhouse to have our party because the family is getting to big. We eat dinner and have the grandchildren act out the nativity. This year Brynlee was an angel and Parker was supposed to be a sheppard but he didn't want to dress up. We also have these chimes that we attempt to play some Christmas songs with. One game was eating doughnuts off of a string. Parker was so funny! He doesn't like bread so therefore he wouldn't eat the doughnut but he sure liked the sugar glaze on it so he just licked it. We also played a game where you had to put large <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2">marshmallow's</span> in your mouth and say movie titles. During the day we went and saw Kung Fu Panda with Kelly and Trevan which he loved! That night we had a little party for him at a park near our house. When we first got there he was not to happy because we had to wake him up from his nap. So we opened presents first which instantly made him happy seeing all the new truckies he got. We then had cake and ice cream and the kids played on the playground while the adults played volleyball. She said it hurt so she went in the corner and cried cause she didn't want anyone to see her. She went back to class and didn't tell her teacher and sat the whole day at school in pain. She got home and didn't tell us cause she was afraid to go to the doctor cause she would have to get a shot. At 9:00 Lewis went up to tuck her into bed and saw her trying to take off her shirt and she couldn't get her arm out cause it hurt to bad so Lew asked her what was wrong and she finally told him. He took her to instacare and they said the brake was so bad that she needed to go to Primary Childrens Hospital to have it set. She is in a soft cast now but gets a hard cast on Wednesday!
